Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board has released TNTET 2018 Application Form for recruitment of teachers at the state level. TN Teacher Recruitment Board conducts this exam every year. This year exam is going to be conducted in April 2018. Candidates who would like to pursue a career in teaching field can apply for this exam. Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 is a golden opportunity for all the individuals who want to apply for teacher’s job.
About TNTET: TNTET is the Tamil Nadu Teacher’s Eligibility Test which is conducted by Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board. This exam is conducted every year for those candidates who want to become a teacher in primary section as well as middle section i.e. Teachers for Class I to V and Class VIth to VII. TNTET 2018 is a state level examination which is conducted for candidates to get a certificate of Teacher’s Eligibility Test.

TNTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification: - Here we have mentioned the TNTET 2018 Educational Qualification for the Candidates who are interested to fill TNTET Application Form 2018.
  • Applicants who’ll be applying for Class I to Class V should have B.ed, Nursery Teacher Training of 2 years BTC in Urdu and BTC.
  • Candidates should have passed 12th class diploma in teacher education/ Elementary Education/B.Sc/B.A/B/Litt in Maths, Physics, Botany, Chemistry, English, Geography, History or any similar degree from any recognised University.
  • Applicants who’ll be applying for Class VI to Class VIII must have done graduation with at least 45 percent and should possess 2-year diploma in Education or B.ed with 50% Marks.
  • Candidates who are appearing for D.E.Ed/B.Ed degree is also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: - Candidates (who will apply for TNTET 2018 Exam) age should not be less than 18 years and should not exceed greater than 40 years. Age Relaxation will be provided as per the government norms and regulations.

TNTET 2018 Application Form :

Candidates who want to apply online have to visit the official website of Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board i.e. trb.tn.nic.in. This form can be filled online as well as offline. Before filling the form go through all the mentioned instructions and prerequisite information. After that, fill all the necessary details followed by uploading photographs and signature. After the completion of details, attach all the documents supporting regarding Caste, Qualifications, age, experience, chalan, etc. Once you’re over with filling all the details and checking them, submit the form and note down the registration number and password for future reference. Candidates can also fill this form offline from “Head Masters of Government Higher Secondary Schools” by paying Rs.50 in Cash.

  • Apply Online by clicking on the link
  • Fill in all the asked personal details carefully
  • Followed by uploading of Photographs and Signature
  • Now make the payment of application fee through any Online Mode
  • Attach necessary documents
  • Click on submit button.
  • Save the registration number and password for future reference

TNTET 2018 Application Fee :

General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs. 500 as application fees while other candidates will have to pay Rs. 250 only. Fee payment can be done through any online Mode like Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Challan, etc.  

TNTET 2018 Exam Pattern :

The Tamil Nadu TET 2018 Exam Pattern conducts in two stages. Both the tests will be of 3 hours and total 150 questions will be asked, respectively. For every right answer, 1 mark will be awarded while no negative marking will be provided for any wrong answer. The test will be of objective type.

TNTET 2018 Syllabus :

TNTET 2018 Syllabus includes various topics. Though TNTET is conducted in two steps i.e. Prelims and Mains thus the syllabus for both the exam also differs. The TNTET 2018 Preliminary Exam Pattern involves topics like Child Development 7 Pedagogy, Tamil, English, Maths, and Environmental Studies & Science while TNTET 2018 Mains Exam Pattern includes Tamil, English, Child Development and Pedagogy, Maths & Science, Social Science, etc.
Tamilnadu TET Prelims 2018 Exam Pattern
English: Listening which should include factors like Competency, Mode of Transaction, Content, Evaluation, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Language Functions.
Child Development and Pedagogy: Study of Children’s Profile (Physical, Cognitive), Child’s Social and Emotional Profile, Physical and Intellectual Development, Social and Emotional Development for 6 to 10 years of Age Group, Moral Development in Child, Learning, Types & Levels of Learning, Concepts & Constructs, Factors Contributing to Learning, Learning and Knowledge.
Mathematics: Numbers, Shapes & Figures, Measurements, Data Study, Patterns, Fractional Numbers
Environmental Studies: Animals & Plants, Birds, Day & Night, Small Creatures around the Children, Air, Water, My Body, Food, Man, Matter & Materials, Keeping Healthy and Clean, Science in Everyday, Work, Travelogue, Soil,  Tamil (Compulsory Language I)- basics of this language is asked just to test the knowledge of basics of this language.
Tamilnadu TET Mains 2018 Exam Pattern
Child Development and Pedagogy Syllabus: Human Growth and Development, Nature of Educational Psychology, Social, Emotional and Moral Development, Cognitive Development, Intelligence & Creativity, Learning, Personality and Assessment, Motivation and Group Dynamics, Guidance and Counselling, Mental Health and Hygiene.
English Syllabus: Listening Instructions, Identification of Text, Reading, Reciting, Appropriate Greetings For Various Occasions, Passage Information Questions, Puzzles & Riddles, Skimming, Scanning, Journal Writing, Letter Writing, Story Formation, Mapping and Summarizing of Content, Spellings, Vocabulary.

TNTET 2018 Selection Procedure :

All the applications submitted by various candidates will be scrutinized by TRB Screening Committee. Aspirants who’ll be eligible and suitable for these posts will be issued admit card of paper I. All the candidates who’ll qualify this preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for Examination II. After this process the students who’ll be securing at least 60% marks in Mains will be further called for verification of certificates. In addition to, all of these selected candidates will be provided with TET Certificate which will be valid for 7 years.

TNTET Hall Ticket 2018 :

A large number of Candidates will apply for Tamil Nadu TET 2018 Exam. Thus, after the filling application form, the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board will release Tamil Nadu TET 2018 Admit Card on the official website. Candidates can download hall ticket from the official site because no one candidates will be allowed to sit in the examination hall without the admit card. The Tamil Nadu TET Hall Ticket 2018 will be released before 10 to 15 days of examination, so candidates will be able to download TNTET Hall Ticket 2018 from here after the release.

TNTET Cut Off 2018 :

Cut-Off is the minimum marks required to qualify any examination. After the declaration of TNTET 2018 Prelims result, the cut off will be released as per the number of students appeared for the examination, level of the paper, number of vacancies, etc. And further, all the students who will qualify in the prelims will be shortlisted for Mains Exam. All the applicants who will score more than 60% in Mains will be shortlisted for verification of documents and hence there will not be any cut-off.

TNTET Result 2018 :

As per the latest updates, the Tamil Nadu TET Result 2018 will be announced in the last week of November on the official website of Tamilnadu TET. Candidates will be able to check TNTET Result 2018 by using their roll number. The shortlisted candidates will be called for verification process of documents. Just after the release of the result and cut off marks (which are the minimum marks to be scored to qualify the exam), candidates will be called for next phase of selection process. Candidates will be able to check Tamilnadu TET 2018 Result from here after the announcement.
